Singapore Concept Plan 2022

Singapore Concept Plan 2022

The new concept plan is revealed to showcase strategies for Singapore’s development over the next 50 years and the plan will be reviewed every 10 years.

Here are the 7 things you need to know.

  1. There will be a better mix of private and public housing islandwide. Areas like Bayshore near East coast park and Simei near Upper Changi MRT station will be the first to pilot this new initiative. So these 2 areas might have high growth potential in the future.
  2. More mixed-use in the city center and industrial developments.
  3. More nature-based recreation options. This will help to boost our tourism industry in Singapore.
  4. There will be five new identity corridors islandwide.
  5. The “Long Island” plan – we can expect an upcoming reservoir, and new residential homes with parks and recreational spaces along the east coast coastal.
  6. The National Parks Board aim to create Four new nature corridors.
  7. Redevelopment of Paya Lebar AirbaseAbout 800ha of land will be free up to transform a new generation town with homes, jobs and lifestyle.
